What’s a vision board?
It’s exactly what the name says: a board that features a montage of images that speak to your Why, your hopes and your dreams. A vision board can help you focus on your goals when words aren’t enough. Haven’t we all heard that “a picture is worth a thousand words?”

How do I make a vision board?
Whether you’re old-school or high-tech, making a vision board is a pretty straightforward project. Simply collect images and words from magazines or online sources that represent your passions and goals. How about a photograph of the boat you’d like to buy someday? Or of a snow-peaked mountain to represent your dreams of a skiing vacation this year? If your goal is spending more time with family, put photos of those you love in a prominent place on your board. Include more immediate goals, like reaching Gold within a certain number of months. And don’t forget your own name, because your vision board is personal to you!

Why do vision boards work?
Vision boards help us focus on what it is we really want, so our subconscious will nudge us into taking the action to get there. In psychology circles, this is known as the “cocktail party effect,” because it involves focusing on a single conversation or concept amid lots of background noise or distractions. Obviously we all have a lot going on all the time, but if you’re reminded every day of the things you want, you’ll become more open to ways of achieving them. What is Network Marketing?

Network marketing is often misunderstood by a lot of people.  They think that it is all about selling a product.  Sure, the ultimate goal is to increase your business, but you need to gain a prospect’s trust and confidence before they will be comfortable in buying what you are offering.  The idea behind networking is to develop relationships with like-minded people for the purpose of sharing and exchanging ideas.  It is not intended to push your product.

If someone you didn’t know approached you and offered to sell you something that you knew nothing about, would you jump at the chance to buy it?  I don’t think you would.  You would want to know more about the product, what kind of guarantees it had and who to contact if you had a problem with it.  You might also wonder why this perfect stranger had approached you to offer this amazing deal.  Is the person associated with a reputable company?  How long has the company been around?  Is this person authorized to sell this product?  Where can you get more information about the company and the product?  Are you getting good value for your money?

There are a lot of marketing opportunities being offered but you need to really know what they are about before you decide to spend your hard earned dollars on them.  They may offer something for free but, once they have you signed up, you find out that it is going to cost you a lot more to get the real meat of the deal.  This, in my opinion, is not value.  If a business uses smoke and mirrors to entice you to buy from them then I would advise you to avoid them.  They are not interested in giving you value for your money.  They only want your money.

You should be able to learn more about a business without having to pay them money for that information.  Once you learn more about the business, and trust that what they offer is a good value, you are in a position to make a choice as to whether or not you want to do business with them.
